Bí Cineálta Week 2025/2026
This year we proudly celebrated Bí Cineálta week from the 12th to 16th of January 26.
Our Transition Year Bí Cineálta Ambassadors were busy throughout the week putting their plans into action, promoting our core school values of respect, friendship and personal growth. They delivered engaging presentations to our 1st year students on the ECS Bí Cineálta procedures and the different types and effects of bullying, and to 2nd year students on the importance of sportsmanship and kindness in sport during their SPHE classes.

The ambassadors also created daily messages and challenges, organised friendship bracelet making at lunchtime on Wednesday, and co-ordinated the popular “Golden Tickets” initiative. Throughout the week, staff awarded Golden Tickets to students who demonstrated acts of kindness. Over 140 students were nominated, and a prize draw was held on Friday to celebrate their positive contributions to our school community.

We were delighted to host some excellent workshops during the week. On Tuesday, The Shona Project delivered workshops to our 3rd, TY and 5th year girls, focusing on positive mindset, confidence and kindness. On Friday, we welcomed members of An Garda Síochána; Sergeant Dominic Regan, Garda Eoin Daly and Garda Brian Culbert, who spoke to our 1st and 2nd year students about cyberbullying and online safety. Their talks covered important topics such as respectful online communication, Coco’s Law, and how to stay safe from online scams.
